2. Apply
What we look for: a clear, honest application in your real voice. AI tools are fine for structure — let your craft and story shine through. What to expect: submit via Workable on the careers page, every CV reviewed by a human, you'll be updated on timelines as you go. Prep tip: read the JD carefully and show where your experience aligns, with real examples.
3. TA Screen
What we look for: motivations, mission alignment, logistical fit, and early signals on values and pace. What to expect: a 20–30 min call with the TA team, conversational and two-way — your chance to ask questions too. Prep tip: come ready to speak to why Andromeda specifically, and be honest about what you want. This is mutual vetting.
4. Technical
What we look for: your craft, how you think through problems, and how you approach challenges you haven't seen before. What to expect: format varies by role — technical interview, on-site, portfolio review, or take-home — we'll brief you fully in advance. Prep tip: slow down, use a notepad, ask for thinking time. We care how you think, not just what you already know.
5. Culture & Leadership
What we look for: how you operate in ambiguity, handle feedback, connect to our mission, and thrive in a startup environment. What to expect: 45–60 min with a founder and/or exec, strong preference for in-person, behavioural and startup-fit focused. Prep tip: prepare 5–7 STAR anchor stories covering thriving in uncertainty, giving or receiving hard feedback, and shipping something you're proud of.
6. Offer
Decision process: structured hiring round tables where multiple interviewers share evidence anchored to a clear rubric — no single gut-feel decisions. What to expect: a verbal offer call from TA, a written offer within 48 hours, and time to review and ask questions. Timeline: most processes complete within 3–4 weeks of first screen; we communicate any delays proactively.
7. Pre-start
What happens: we keep you connected and excited in the weeks before you start — you're already part of the team. What to expect: welcome comms from the People team, pre-reading and context materials, and an intro to your direct team. Our commitment: we don't ghost you between offer and start; you'll know who to contact and what your first week looks like.
8. Onboarding
What to expect: immersive onboarding in the Melbourne or San Francisco office, learning by osmosis from day one, building Abi alongside your team. Structure: a 1:1 with a co-founder, a 30/60/90 day roadmap, and early assignment to meaningful work. Our goal: for you to feel genuinely set up to succeed, technically and culturally, and to know what great looks like here by the end of week one.
