Former Apple engineering director and Block executive Jesse D. joins Andromeda’s Board of Directors

Jesse brings more than two decades of experience building consumer hardware at Apple and Block, as Andromeda takes Abi from early deployments to a product that can reach millions.

San Francisco, CA — October 28, 2026 — Andromeda Robotics today announced the appointment of Jesse Dorogusker to its Board of Directors. The former Apple engineering director and Block hardware executive brings more than two decades of experience developing and scaling consumer technology, as Andromeda enters its next phase of growth and international expansion.

Dorogusker spent eight years at Apple, where he helped build the iPod, iPhone and iPad accessories business, contributing to a multibillion-dollar ecosystem spanning hundreds of millions of products. He subsequently joined Square, now Block, where he built its hardware organisation which spanned engineering, design and operations.

His appointment comes at a defining moment for Andromeda. The company's humanoid robot, Abi, is already working alongside residents and staff in aged care communities across Australia and Northern California. As artificial intelligence advances the capabilities of robots, Andromeda is working to solve a different and equally important challenge: how to make robots that people genuinely want to live alongside.

"Jesse has spent his career helping turn extraordinary engineering into products that become part of people's everyday lives," said Grace Brown, Founder and CEO of Andromeda Robotics.

"Building a robot that people genuinely want in their lives requires an enormous amount of thought across engineering, design, character and human behaviour. Jesse brings a rare combination of technical depth, product taste and experience building hardware at global scale. As we take Abi from early deployments to a product that can reach millions of people, I'm incredibly excited to have him helping us shape what comes next."

For Dorogusker, the appointment also marks a return to a lifelong interest in robotics. Originally trained across mechanical, electrical and software engineering, he began his career developing products combining sensors, actuators and software, with an early ambition to build intelligent machines.

More than two decades later, rapid progress in artificial intelligence has brought that ambition back into focus.

"After more than two decades in consumer electronics, payments, and high-volume manufacturing, my interest in robotics has been rekindled," said Dorogusker. "The jet fuel that AI software has injected into the industry is exciting and important.

"As an experienced member of the sandwich generation, I'm also deeply interested in how we're building technology for both kids and ageing parents. Andromeda is capturing an incredible moment in time with a special point of view about people and technology. I'm eager to help Grace and the team bring their vision to people all over the world."

Andromeda is developing robots capable of understanding, remembering and building relationships with the people around them. Its approach places social intelligence at the centre of robotics, with the ambition of bringing companionship and meaningful connection into homes, care communities and other everyday environments.

Dorogusker joins the board as Andromeda expands its US presence and advances the next generation of Abi, with a growing focus on manufacturing, reliability and building robots at scale.

The company's mission is to replace one billion hours of loneliness with meaningful moments of connection.

About Andromeda Robotics

Founded in Melbourne, Australia, Andromeda Robotics is building socially intelligent humanoid robots designed to create meaningful human connection.

Its first robot, Abi, is deployed in aged care communities across Australia and the United States, where she speaks multiple languages, remembers the people she meets and builds relationships over time.

Andromeda is working toward a future where socially intelligent robots become a natural, valuable and meaningful part of everyday life.
